The forecast Shamal arrived during the night - and is living up to its reputation with winds over 22 knots. We are all on Standby until 9.30 when the next decision will be made. This may well be the day to take in some of the other Airsports taking place that do not have our limitations weatherwise, or visit some of the sights and shops of Dubai!
At 9.30 All involved in the Parachuting competition are released for the day.
The Artistic Event judges posted the scores of the Freefly first round, with Russia leading France and Great Britain, the competition is underway.
Yesterday Speed Skydiving managed 1 and a part round before the end of the day. On his first flight the current World Champion Marko Wiederkehr, Switzerland, beat his own record - so we have our first NEW WORLD RECORDset at these World Air Games - Marko with a flight at a speed of 533,02.kmph

Speed also welcomed the latest member of the 500 Club (currently only 6 members) - Dimitry Gnyzin, Russia with a 510.18 kmph run.

Accuracy Landings, Formation Skydiving 8-Way and VFS Artistics Events Freestyle and Freefly, Speed and Canopy Piloting 2-Way Sequential are on Standby until 13.00 8th December, when an announcement will be amde about the afternoon programme. Formation Skydiving 4-Way Open and 4-Way Female and Canopy Formations 4-Way Rotations are released until 7.30 and 7.00 on Wednesday 9th December.
